Bus Delays Impact Start of School

1011 NOW has reported that the Omaha Public School District issued a statement that claims OPS is working with its contractor to closely examine the bus problems that have plagued the beginning of the school year.

OPS says it will work with Student Transportation of America, “to assess the impact of transportation issues experienced yesterday and this morning. The district met with the contractor today and STA is currently exploring alternatives for managing bus driver shortages. We will share more information when it is available.”

OPS says it will make every effort to get students to school and back home safely, securely and as close to on time as possible.
