A North Carolina school district has decided to tap its own coffers to fund a bonus for part-time employees, according the Mount Airy News.
While the state approved a bonus for any school employees working at least 20 hours a week, bus drivers don’t work this minimum. So the school district approved a prorated portion to make drivers eligible for this bonus.
