According to the news report, a student told the school bus driver that another student had brought a gun onboard. The student had reportedly shown the gun to other students on board the bus.

The bus driver reportedly confiscated the weapon immediately and contacted the Clark-Pleasant Police soon after. The bus was parked in Break-O-Day Elementary School’s parking lot in New Whiteland.

Police responded immediately to the scene. All the students were reportedly safe and accounted for. The student that brought the gun — and whose identity was not revealed — was detained for questioning.
