PTA Holds Bus Driver Appreciation Day

The Somers PTA Council continued its tradition of honoring its school bus drivers at the annual Bus Driver Appreciation Day Breakfast, according to The Somers Record.

“We do this breakfast every year to honor our drivers and to say thanks for taking care of our kids every day,” said Cyndi Sciacca, who organized the event. “We love our bus drivers.”

The PTA Council buys food alongside donations provided by the community. There was also a raffle and goodie bags for the drivers.

The grand prize was a $100 gift certificate the Mexican Shack, which the New York-based store contributed.

Nearly 100 school bus drivers, monitors and staff attended.
