School Bus Involved in Crash, Driver Drunk

A Massachusetts school bus driver admitted that he was drunk when he allegedly crashed his bus into a utility pole with children aboard. But it wasn’t from alcohol. The driver was intoxicated from cough medicine, reported the Lake Andes Wave. No students were harmed in the collision.

The driver has been charged with drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and child endangerment while operating under the influence. The driver has also been suspended from his duties behind the wheel pending an investigation.
