STN EXPO to Offer Dynamic Keynote Series

This summer, the STN EXPO will feature four different keynote addresses that offer different perspectives on topics ranging from safety and security to workplace interactions.

They keynote series will kick off on the morning of Sunday, July 9 with Dr. Stephen Sroka, an internationally recognized motivational speaker, award-winning teacher, author and consultant. His presentation will focus on his message of “The Power of Many,” which is described on his website as, “a program that will warm your heart delivered with professional insights that will ignite your head. A powerful message for students, parents, schools, organizations and communities.”

Sroka is an inductee of the National Teachers Hall of Fame, and is a popular speaker.

Later that day, Don Harkey, co-founder of People Centric Consulting Group, will provide a keynote on topics such as building a healthy workplace culture, developing better managers and leaders, and managing toxic employees.

On Monday, July 10, Jesus Villahermosa, Jr., the founder of Crisis Reality Training, a safety and security consulting firm, will discuss related topics. Villahermosa is a former deputy for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department in Tacoma, Washington, as well as a former member of that department’s S.W.A.T team.

Howard Putnam, former CEO of Southwest Airlines will wrap up the keynote schedule on Tuesday night. His address will explore concepts of leadership, customer service, and the importance of people and culture in creating and sustaining a profitable entity for the long-term.

“I look forward to joining your group on July 11 in Reno,” he told STN. “We always said at Southwest that we were not an airline. We were in mass transportation and safety. It was our people and culture that made us successful. Seems to me you have the same challenges.”

Don’t delay, register today for the STN EXPO to participate in the keynote sessions and other educational opportunities! Remember to also book a room!
