Thermo King Wins Sysco Supplier of the Year Award

MINNEAPOLIS — Thermo King was recently recognized as an “Operations Supplier of the Year” by Sysco Corporation, North America’s largest foodservice marketer and distributor. The honor was presented at Sysco’s first Super Regional Conference held in Houston, Texas on January 13, 2009. This is the second year in a row that Thermo King has won the award. Thermo King supplies refrigeration units and parts and service support to Sysco.

The winners were chosen by Sysco’s operations personnel and were evaluated on their ability to satisfy Sysco’s requirements in a cost effective and efficient manner. Criteria also included elements that measure a supplier’s ability to be a good team player: flexibility, innovation, accuracy, a strong sense of professional ethics and integrity, good communications and quality products and services. The winners received the highest rating in their category.

“This award is the result of great customer service and lots of hard work by Thermo King dealers and employees,” said Ron Fernandez, national account manager for Thermo King.
