Bus Contractor STA Raises Money for Cancer Care

Staff members of the Student Transportation of America, Inc. (STA) location in Weare, New Hampshire recently raised over $3,700 for the Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care.

School bus drivers, monitors, family and friends fundraised by participating in the 13th annual Rock ‘N Race, a five kilometer run and walk benefiting the center. The STA team wore badges to honor loved ones currently battling cancer as well as to remember those who have passed. Many wore badges that read “In loving support of Carolyn,” a former STA staff member currently in hospice care battling stage four lung cancer.

I had a wonderful night with family members, friends and co-workers as I paid forward in loving memory of my husband, whom I lost five years ago to brain cancer.”

The team is aiming to double the amount raised for next year.
