Unlike too many people to count, I do not own an iPhone. I am stuck with a wireless carrier that does not offer it. But, after reading an interesting article, I may have to change my ways.
iPhone now offers a new application, Offender Locator, that “lets users locate and list nearby registered sex offenders using the phone’s built-in Global Position System (GPS).”
The application, jokingly named “iPerv” by more than one news outlet, gives you instant information about registered sex offenders in your immediate area.
But, remember to constantly check your local and the national offender databases as well.
