TSD Speaker Spotlight: Pete Meslin

Pete Meslin, the director of transportation at Newport-Mesa Unified School District in Southern California won’t disappoint at this year’s TSD Conference. He is among our most popular speakers each year because of the innovative ideas he brings to his sessions.

Next month, Pete will present “Effectively Communicating Services via IEP Documents” on Saturday, March 18, which will explore “options to systematically gather timely, relevant transportation information”

He will present “Bus in the Classroom” on Sunday, March 19, where he will chronicle a highly successful program recently implemented at his school district that uses school bus drivers to teach school bus-related safety skills to student with special needs.

Later that day, Meslin will co-present “Not All Behavior is an IEP Matter: The Case for Push-Back,” which will cover procedures for dealing with student behaviors that may or may not be related to a disability.
