American Logistics Company Recognized by NAPT as a ‘Recommended Service’

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 16, 2010 – American Logistics Company, LLC, (ALC) a national passenger transportation management company serving transit agencies, school districts and the health care industry, today announced that the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) has awarded the company the title of “Recommended Service.” ALC is the only pupil transportation management company currently recommended by NAPT.

“NAPT is the industry’s leading organization when it comes to supporting the successful development of world-class pupil transportation professionals and organizations,” said Craig Puckett, president, American Logistics Company. “We are honored to be chosen by this organization as a ‘Recommended Service,’ and look forward to partnering with other member organizations in providing safe, efficient transportation services to school children across the nation.”

Occasionally, the NAPT Board of Directors may recommend a product or service to NAPT members when the Board believes the type of product or service is essential to personal growth and development, staff development, human resources management or operational safety and efficiency.

ALC has more than 50 years of transportation management and customer service experience, which has given the company the foundation to develop innovative management practices that have resulted in high quality pupil transportation services for school districts.

Leveraging its ParaMax® analysis software to assess a school district’s current transportation program, ALC defines maximum efficiency algorithms that “right-size” each transportation route, then identifies the optimum mix of dedicated buses and non-dedicated alternative transportation solutions required to cost-effectively serve each trip. With ParaMax, ALC can lower the costs associated with transporting special needs students by an average of 20%, by reducing the required number of buses, along with their associated costs (i.e. drivers, benefits, insurance, fuel, etc.).

ALC currently works with school districts across the United States to deliver transportation for students with special needs, including the homeless (McKinney Vento) and isolated families. As a NAPT Recommended Service, school districts who are NAPT members will enjoy additional savings coupled with the transportation cost savings provided by ALC.
