Blue Bird Managing in a Down Market

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Blue Bird Corporation has announced a reduction in its salaried workforce. Blue Bird is managing to the current economic conditions which have slowed the sales of school and activity buses and the overall market growth in the industry. Approximately twenty salaried employees will be affected.

All employees involved in the reduction were eligible for severance and continuation of benefits. There were no hourly manufacturing employees, nor employees at the new Blue Bird South location, affected by the reduction. There are no future plans for reductions unless the current market conditions worsen.
