Collins Bus Corporation to Provide Better Transportation Alternative to NJCAA Member Schools

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Kent Tyler, President of Collins Bus Corporation and NJCAA Executive Director Mary Ellen Leicht have announced Collins Bus as the latest corporate sponsor to join the NJCAA family.

Tyler said, “We’re proud to be partnering with the NJCAA to provide better transportation alternatives for their member schools. Collins has enjoyed being a supporter of the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship in Hutchinson over the years, but this agreement offers us a chance to show our products directly to member colleges.”

As a pioneer in the business, Collins Bus has become a leader in the industry through innovation and quality. With strict adherence to safety standards, Collins builds small buses that provide an excellent alternative for the transportation needs of student-athletes. Collins is continually moving forward, developing better ways to manufacture buses of extraordinary value.

“The safety of our student-athletes continues to be a top concern of the NJCAA. This partnership with Collins Bus will answer those safety concerns when transporting teams of 9 to 24 passengers,” states Leicht. “In addition, with today’s budgets being what they are, Collins is dedicated to providing the best pricing available to NJCAA institutions.”

NJCAA colleges can look forward to receiving additional material related to the transportation options available through Collins Bus. “As the largest builder of Type A school buses in North America, we look forward to showing NJCAA member colleges how a Collins Team Transport vehicle provides increased safety and improved passenger comfort,” said John Doswell, Collins’ Vice President for Sales and Marketing.

As a result of this three year agreement, Collins Bus will offer most favored customer status to NJCAA member schools and will offer discounts associated with such status. Sales to member colleges will be through authorized Collins distributors or direct from Collins Bus.
