BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Local elected officials and project partners are gathering to celebrate the deployment of the first Type C electric school bus in New York City by Logan Bus Company. The project features a Charging-as-a-Service support model, repowered vehicles to all electric, and vehicle-grid integration. The project’s unique elements offer a scalable solution for electric school bus fleets because of the cost savings advantage of charge management services, repowering existing vehicles, and grid services. School bus electrification is a critical part of New York State’s and New York City’s emission reduction and climate targets.
