IC Bus University Spring 2009 Sessions

IC Bus will be offering IC Bus University training for our customer technicians at the Training Center at the Tulsa Bus Plant on the following dates:

The weeks of; March 23, 2009, April 13, 2009 and May 18, 2009

This is a repeat of our very well received IC Bus University classes that were held in October of 2008 where over 150 customer technicians were trained on the IC Bus product. The spring classes will have the following schedule:

Monday -attendees should arrive in Tulsa by noon of that day and check into the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place in Tulsa. Room rates are $89 per night and include breakfast. Daily transportation will be provided by IC Bus. The bus will leave the hotel at 12:45 pm for the plant. The first half day will be spent in the Tulsa Bus Plant observing bus construction.

Tuesday through Thursday -Bus will leave the host hotel at 7:30 am. Attendees will be split into 3 groups and will cycle through three eight hour classes on engines, body/chassis electrical and bus maintenance. Lunch will be provided by IC Bus Tuesday through Friday of the week. Soft drinks, snacks and bottled water will be provided daily for all attendees. Transportation back to the host hotel will be provided at 5:00 pm.

Friday -four hour Allison transmission class. A box lunch will be provided for attendees to carry with them. Airport transportation or back to the host hotel will be provided at 12:00 noon. Return airline reservations should be scheduled for after 2:00 pm on Friday.

In addition, Tuesday through Thursday of the week, there will be lunch presentations by various vendors to IC Bus as well as evening presentations Monday through Thursday evening at the host hotel from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Attendees will be credited for 32 hours of training through Navistar but may receive as much as 47 hours of training should they attend all of the evening sessions.

Cost for the class is $300 per person and attendees will need to obtain a voucher from their IC Bus dealer. Attendees can then go to www.navistareducation.com and register for the IC Bus University classes. When the customer enrolls in the class on-line, they can register for the host hotel by clicking on the launch tab or they can call the Doubletree directly at (918)-495-1000. The $89 rate can be obtained by using the rate code of IC 1, IC 2 or IC 3 depending on the week that they will be attending.
