Former Weldon Vice President Sean Tillinghast has been named president of parent company Akron Brass, a manufacturer of high-performance firefighting equipment.
Akron Brass made the announcement Friday to replace Tom Hudak, who is the new president of Newark element14, a multi-channel, and high-service electronics distributor based in Chicago that supports millions of engineers and purchasing professionals across the Americas as part of the Premier Farnell Group. Akron Brass is one of Premier Farnell’s brands.
Tillinghast moves to Akron Brass after 17 years at Weldon, where he oversaw all aspects of product development at its Columbus, Ohio, facilty for the company’s lighting and electronic solutions provided to the student transportation industry. In his new role, Tillinghast will lead Akron Brass’ strategy and vision.
A graduate of Kettering University, Tillinghast holds a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering.
