Tim Young was hired to oversee human resources, labor relations and employee benefits for First Student and First Transit.
FirstGroup America, the operating company for both brands, said Young will also supervise all payroll. He joined the company from Duro Bag Manufacturing Company, one of the world’s largest makers of paper shopping bags. At Duro Bag, Young was vice president of human resources. He also held several human resource leadership positions during a 20-year career at Sara Lee Corporation.
Young graduated from Pennsylvania State University and resides in Cincinnati, where FirstGroup America has its headquarters.
