Ontario School Bus Association Announces New Executive Board

The Ontario School Bus Association said Les Cross of Stock Transportation is the new the president. Mark Begg of Delaney Bus Lines is the new vice president and Chris Harwood of Student Transportation of Canada is the new Treasurer. OSBA said Perry Ferguson remains on the board as past president.

On behalf of its members, OSBA expressed “sincere appreciation” to Perry for “superior leadership” over the past two years. OSBA said Perry led the way with many initiatives and accomplishments, not the least of which continuing to build relationships and professional advocacy anddialogue with the Ministries of Education, Transportation and Government Services to improve the competitive procurement process and funding model.

OSBA also thanked Perry for leading the association’s new OSBA communications plan and championing the OSBA transition to a leaner contractor association model versus an employee office model.

“Perry will remain active on the OSBA Board of Directors and continue to provide valuable assistance and guidance,” OSBA said in a statement. “As always, the entire OSBA Board is committed to meeting, and exceeding, member needs.”
