Radio Engineering Receives Supplier Award from Bus Manufacturer

Radio Engineering Inc. (REI) was recognized as a value-added supplier by heavy-duty bus manufacturer New Flyer Industries for the first time this past spring.

The 2011 Delivery Performance Award recognizes suppliers that provide New Flyer with the best in value and quality along with at least 99-percent, on-time delivery. REI received the award on April 9 for a variety of audio and video solutions provided to New Flyer, an REI spokeswoman added.

“Our dedication to superior service is evident by New Flyer’s award,” commented Scott Hays, president of REI. “We are honored to be a valued supplier to New Flyer. Our partnership has extended over 10 years and we continue year-over-year to provide top-notch service. We extend our gratitude to New Flyer for recognizing our commitment to them.”

New Flyer is an 82-year-old company that manufacturers heavy-duty transit buses for the North American market. It introduced the first low-floor transit bus as well as the first diesel-electric hybrid and the first zero-emissions hydrogen fuel cell fleet.
