REI Adds Driver Monitoring, Routing to Software Solution

Radio Engineering Industries (REI) announced that its newest software solutions will provide fleet operators with increased visibility of routes and risk reduction to maximize operational costs.

The latest routing software from REI includes add-ons for reviewing past bus routes to automatically generate the most efficient pathway available in order to save on time and fuel expenses. In addition, the software optimizes routes by using cellular data to identify if a bus is off course or running late.

The software also contains a driver monitoring system that utilizes observational video to track events in order to improve and adjust driver performance and behavior.

When immediate action is necessary, REI said the software can be configured to issue notification alerts for such events as speeding or delays, both of which impede on operations.

REI’s RFID technology provides accurate identification of drivers in order to produce a single-page report to oversee progress.

Both software solutions are customizable to fit specific needs, and can be operated in conjunction with REI’s existing A.R.M.O.R. software extensions.
