School-Bus Dealer Names New President, Reynolds to Remain as CEO

A-Z Bus Sales announced that John Landherr is the company’s new president, replacing Jim Reynolds who will continue as CEO.

Reynolds joined A-Z Bus Sales in November 2001. As president he has overseen revenue growth of more than 60 percent and income growth of 300 percent, and the company has become one of the largest school-bus dealers in the nation selling Blue Bird, Collins Bus and Girardin/Micro Bird brands. It also sells commercial bus applications, wheelchair lifts and vans and fire aparatus vehicles.

The company said Reynolds will concentrate on mergers and acquisitions, line extensions for current business units and new business development.

Meanwhile, Landherr joins A-Z Bus Sales from aircraft maintenance, repair and storage provider Certified Aviation Services, where he served as president and oversaw a sales increase of four-times the annual level as the company grew from a regional provider to an international one. Landherr obtained a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s degree finance from Texas A&M University.

“We are excited to welcome John to the A-Z Bus team,” said Reynolds. “John brings considerable experience in developing and executing business strategies that drive profitable growth across multiple markets. His experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow in our respective market verticals and strive for continuous improvement.”
