Trapeze Group to Acquire Mentor Engineering to Offer Bundled Solution

Routing and fleet management technology provider Trapeze Group will acquire Mentor Engineering, a Canadian provider of fleet management hardware and mobile workforce management solutions. Company officials said the deal is expected to close the end of this month.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Mentor Engineering also provides small transport agencies a fixed-route intelligent transportation solution that complements with Trapeze’s existing enterprise solutions portfolio for passenger transport. As a result of the acquisition, these two solutions will be combined to offer in-vehicle hardware and back-office systems.

John Hines, president of Trapeze Group in North America, said the company has partnered with Mentor throughout the years on various projects, and both companies share mutual customers.

“The company has deep domain expertise in the public transport market, and their hardware is considered to be best in class. We look forward to incorporating Mentor’s strengths and capabilities into the greater Trapeze offering,”
he added.
