Chicago School Bus Driver Shot in Head On Route

A 31-year-old man suffered a “graze” wound to his head after being shot Friday while driving his school bus with students on board, reports the Associated Press.

The Chicago Fire Department transported the man to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was listed as being in stable condition.

Chicago Police said none of the students on board were injured. Meanwhile, it was not known where the bullet was fired from or by whom, and if the school bus was the intended target or not.

The bus was returning from a downtown work studies program for Christ the King Jesuit Preparatory School.
