Clark-Pleasant School is the first in the country to install new crash-prevention technology, reported the Daily Journal.
It is similar to the technology that is used in modern cars. With these buses, they will automatically brake if the car in front of them stops, and the bus has a radar that will see through fog or snow, then alert the driver if he/she is veering out of its lane.
Two of the Clark-Pleasant school buses are being installed with the crash-prevention equipment.
These buses will also have electronic stability controls.
The technology comes from a partnership with IC Bus and Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems.
