School Bus Driver Will Not Face Charges in Principal’s Death

The Indiana school bus driver who forgot to engage the parking brake before leaving a school bus, which then rolled forward and killed a school principal, will not face charges, reported Indystar.

Terry Curry, the prosecutor on the case said the decision not to file charges was based on a number of factors, including video of the incident and the fact that the driver was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, adding that in Indiana law, negligence without impairment is not grounds for charging someone with a crime.
