A 17-year-old teen charged as an adult in a Florida school bus shooting incident that injured two girls has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, reported WCTV.
The teen, Edgar Robles, pled guilty to to two counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of shooting or throwing a deadly missile. According to police, he and his friends approached a school bus to confront other boys. He began to shoot and a girl was hit in the back of the head. A bullet went through the cheek of another girl.
Robles reportedly fled to Georgia after the incident, where he was later apprehended. His friends were not charged, and police said they were cooperative after the incident.
