Learning & Networking on Day 2 of STN EXPO Indy

After safety trainer Chris Dorn’s Monday keynote presentation on how to use behavioral tactics to enhance school bus safety, he led a panel discussing security challenges from angry parents to active shooters.

Other workshops were held on making school buses cleaner, the Busing on the Lookout program, understanding federal requirements like the New Entry-Level Driver Training Final Rule and FMVSS 111, and preventing school bus fires through proper maintenance and inspections. Cummins held its second engine training, while Allison Transmission provided a plant tour and ride and drive. The Propane Research and Education Council closed out the day with a happy hour.
