TSD Speaker Spotlight: Patrick Mulick

Patrick Mulick returns to the TSD Conference this year to speak about autism and related topics. His sessions always draw crowds, due to his dynamic presentation style and informative content.

Mulick is a National Board Certified Teacher, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a certified speaker, trainer and coach with the John Maxwell Team. He is currently an educational consultant and the Autism Coordinator of the Auburn School District in Washington State.

On Saturday, March 18, Mulick will present “Working With Families of Children With Autism or Very Special Needs,” which will discuss “how parents of students in special education often end up becoming isolated and unsupported” and will demonstrate “how we all can connect with families, creating greater collaboration between school, home and transportation.”

The next day, Mulick will co-present a general session with Kate Movius of Autism Interaction Solutions titled “Fostering Positive Interactions with Autistic Students,” which will focus on “how to effectively collaborate with local police and school resource officers in order to achieve the most positive outcomes” when interacting with autistic students.

Later that day, he will present “Autism: Support for Managing Behaviors on the Bus.” This session will “put transportation staff behind the wheel of what it feels like to have autism and then provides various strategies to consider for support.

You don’t want to miss Patrick Mulick and other TSD presenters, who will provide the “meat and potatoes” to attendees’ most pressing challenges and issues. The 2017 full conference agenda can now be viewed on the conference website. So get your approval and register today! Online registration ends on March 7, but onsite registration is available.
