CINCINNATI — First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, recently named John Gillie as senior vice president, First Student Sales and Commercial Development, effective May 10. Gillie is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies to grow the business.
“With 19 years of experience and a passion for customer service, team leadership and sales management, John has the expertise necessary to capitalize on our strategic business development goals,” said Linda Burtwistle, president, First Student.
Gillie most recently served as senior vice president of sales for Noble Biomaterials, a global leader in bacterial management solutions. While at Noble Biomaterials, he was responsible for leading sales and marketing, as well as product and concept development. Through comprehensive analysis of current and future needs, Gillie created strategies to accelerate commercialization processes and revenue generation from product innovation and new product launch initiatives.
Gillie holds a BBA in accounting and operations management from National University, as well as an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
