NTSB to Hold Press Conference to Discuss 2010 Most Wanted Safety Improvements

The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a press conference next week to update the status of its Most Wanted List of Safety Improvements directed at state governments.

Items currently on the list are state laws to require booster seats for young children, primary seat belt laws, graduated licensing laws for young drivers, hard core drinking driver laws, and recreational boating safety laws.

Despite the fact that all of these laws have been proven to save lives, many states have not yet adopted them.

Reporting on its annual review, the Board may consider new items for the list.

Members of the NTSB will be available for individual interviews following the event.

DATE: Tuesday, Nov. 16

TIME: 10:30 a.m. Eastern

LOCATION: NTSB Board Room and Conference Center, 429 L’Enfant Plaza, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20594.

A mult box will be provided and the room is lighted for television. A live and archived webcast of the proceedings will be available on the Board’s website at http://www.ntsb.gov/Events/Boardmeeting.htm. Technical support details are available under “Board Meetings.” To report any problems, please call 703-993-3100 and ask for Webcast Technical Support.
