Simple “At-a Glance” Wheel Safety System Visually Identifies and Locks further Nut Movement to Stop Wheel Detachment

Called SafetyTrim, the wheel nut management system is attached to individual wheels of the vehicle. The system senses and arrests nut movement to prevent wheel loss. A built-in “At-a-Glance” safety indicator provides a quick visual indication when an individual wheel nut is backing off – a fluorescent marker appears – this feature “Locks” the nut’s position on the wheel hub and prevents additional back-off.
The “At-a-Glance safety indicator alerts operators to conveniently schedule vehicle to the workshop for wheels to be properly re-torqued.
Wheel loss in America is an ongoing problem. The SafetyTrim system avoids detached wheel accidents along with resulting litigation awards from injury, property damage and fatalities caused by lost wheels.
Developed in the UK, the SafetyTrim System is suitable for vans, trucks/trailers as well as buses/coaches and the system is easily adapted to individual wheel designs.
The light assembly consists of a ring collar that fits over wheel nuts. Each nut has a corresponding loose nut warning window. When activated a fluorescent marker appears in the window.
Each Safety Trim wheel system is molded from a synthetic fiber which is highly resistant to heat and friction. In addition, the casing exhibits a chemical “memory” that allows it to revert to its original shape The Safety-Trim assembly fits snug and tight over each wheel nut as well as being easy to fit and remove in the workshop.
