NASDPTS President Leon Langley confirmed the dates for this year’s annual conference in a letter to members today.
The event will take place from Sunday, Nov. 8 through Wednesday, Nov. 11 in Richmond, Virginia. Langley said the conference includes some overlap with the NAPT Summit conference, which will take place from Nov. 6 -10, also in Richmond. He wrote that this schedule format echoes that in place this past fall in Kansas City, after state directors, Supplier Council members and SNAC members said they preferred to follow “last year’s model” in order to minimize time away from work.
“In any model, NASDPTS would meet the day or days before and the day or days after the one-day NAPT trade show. Though this schedule does include some overlap withthe NAPT Conference, limiting our members’ time out of office during the workweek was a consistent refrain,” Langley indicated in the letter.
The letter also updated recipients on the dates and location of the 16th National Congress on Student Transportation, scheduled for this May in Des Moines, Iowa, adding that online registration information will be released shortly.
