Automatic Tire Chain Manufacturer Expands Again

Onspot of North America last week announced the expansion of its factory in North Vernon, Ind.

The automatic tire chain systems provider said it was already planning to add to its current 30,000-square-foot manufacturing plant when the building and property next door became available. Onspot decided to purchase the three-acre parcel, which includes a 7,400-square-foot building that will become its new storage warehouse. The additional space frees up the room required to add two more CNC machines that assist in the production of Onspot’s automatic tire chain systems.

In October 2005 Onspot added 3,000 square feet to its then 20,000-square-foot North Vernon facility, while also moving its headquarters office in Stratford, Conn., to a larger space featuring a new warehouse.

The Onspot automatic tire chain offers the traction of a single set of conventional snow chains at the flip of a switch, without requiring operators to stop the vehicle, whether it is a school bus, emergency vehicle or truck.
