NAPT Webinar to Focus on Healthcare, Safety Costs of Untreated Sleep Apnea

Members of the National Association for Pupil Transportation are invited to attend a Webinar tomorrow that educates transportation managers on the health issues of sleep apnea in school bus drivers  as well as how the industry is dealing with pending federal guidelines.

The webinar, “The Health and Safety Costs of Untreated Sleep Apnea,” is scheduled for 11 a.m. till Noon Eastern time and is hosted by John McCormick, national manager for ocupational health for ResMed, a developer, manufacturer and marketer of sleep apnea treatment devices.

The National Transportation Safety Board has made reducing driver fatigue, which sleep apnea is a major contributor to, part of its”Most Wanted List” of improvements to the transportation industry. NAPT members must have a broadband Internet connection to access the webinar. In addition, member can dial into a conference call line to hear audio, only.
