National Express Corporation (NEC) announced Mike Rushin is the company’s new chief operating officer for North American transit operations.
Rushin previously was the president of transit services for Transcare in Brooklyn, N.Y., and prior to that was COO for Laidlaw Transit Services.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mike to National Express Corporation,” said David Duke, chief executive officer of NEC, in a statement. “He is the perfect operational leader to oversee our transit operations and continue to grow National Express’ presence in the North American transit market.”
NEC also operates Durham School Services in the United States and Stock Transportation in Canada.
