NAPT/NASDPTS: The Reward of Tackling Hardships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Overcoming hardship dominated the discussions held throughout day three of the NAPT summit.

Jeff Bauman, a double amputee who lost both his legs in the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing, shared his journey from the hospital bed to becoming a father and inspiration to millions of Americans.

Artist Richard Hight detailed his life raising a children with special needs. He described how uniqueness can turn into value, as people should focus on their strengths, instead of dwelling on weaknesses.

A number of delegates also tossed their hats into the ring to join the NAPT board of directors.
