Child Jumps off Moving School Bus

A 9-year-old San Antonio boy jumped off a school bus just as it started moving, after previous failed attempts, reported KENS5. It appears he was not injured

Because of these attempts, the San Antonio ISD had assigned a bus monitor to watch the boy, among other security measures. The monitor was reportedly unable to stop him from jumping and has now resigned. The driver was suspended while the district investigates the incident.

“I don’t think he should be allowed to be riding the bus if he’s done this before,”  said a parent. “What’s going to happen if he does it again and he’s going 30 miles an hour or something?”

The school district will meet with the family to discuss whether the boy should continue to ride the bus.
