A Colorado bus driver admitted that on top of taking four different flu medications, he had a “beer with lunch” before getting behind the wheel to transport 30 middle schoolers, reported the Denver Post.
Sheriff’s officers arrested the 53-year-old driver on suspicion of driving while under the influence. According to an affidavit, a roadside breath test showed the driver had a blood-alcohol level of .015, which is well below the consideration of impairment or intoxication in Colorado.
However, he still faces charges of child abuse without injuries and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, both misdemeanors.
