Six Dead After School Bus, Commuter Bus Collide in Baltimore

According to the Regina Leader-Post, six people are dead after a commuter bus and a school bus collided in southwest Baltimore.

Area police said there were no children on the school bus at the time of the crash.

The Chicago Tribune said that school bus was blocks away from its first stop Tuesday morning when it hit a cemetery wall, rear-ended a car and then ricocheted off a roadside pillar into an oncoming commuter bus.

The pre-dawn accident killed six people and injured 10, authorities said.

There were no names released as to who had died.

Pictures from the scene showed two mangled buses and debris in the roadway.

ABC News reported that police said there were at least five fatalities on the MTA bus. The driver of the school bus was also killed. There were 13 people on the MTA bus and two on the school bus.
