Teens Save Girl’s Life on School Bus

Two Georgia teens are being hailed as heroes after using CPR to save the life of a fellow student after she stopped breathing while heading back home from school on the school bus, reported the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Ismael Olvera, one of the teens, had already gotten off the bus at his stop when the bus driver asked him to return. When Ismael got back on the bus, he noticed his younger sister, Amayrani was not breathing, nor could he feel her heartbeat. He immediately began mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while a classmate, Rebecca Goodridge, did chest compressions. They continued the CPR until paramedics arrived and transported Amayrani to the hospital. She was later released.
