Two Adults, One Child Remain Hospitalized After Crash in Texas

Dozens of children were injured in a school bus rollover accident on Sept. 29, 2018, with two adults and one child remaining hospitalized, as of Oct. 1, reported kwtx.com.

News reports said that 24 children and 4 adults, including the bus driver, were in a school bus when the driver lost control and the bus rolled over once before crashing into a fence.

While 26 people on the bus were taken to the hospital as a precaution, there were still several students who sustained more serious head injuries, with six victims taken to the emergency room for treatment, reports said.

The events began with two buses en route to SeaWorld in San Antonio for the school’s annual field trip. Only girls were on the bus that crashed, while the other bus that carried only boys did not crash.

Although state law does not require seat belts, the bus that crashed was equipped with them.
