Photos: Third Day of STN EXPO Reno Facilitates Discussions

Several workshops encouraged conversation on the third day of the STN EXPO in Reno. Attendees discussed with their peers the issues of student dragging, emerging school bus technologies, maintenance challenges, school bus driver shortage, alternative fuels and more.

Keynote speaker Michael Dorn, executive director of Safe Havens International, received a standing ovation for his insightful presentation on school bus security and behavioral training. An afternoon session on evacuating school buses in case of fires also included a live event—a school bus filled with “smoke” from a fog machine.
