A new alliance between the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo and the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) underlines the rising interest in adding zero-emissions vehicles to fleets, according to event organizers.
Set for May 4-7 in Dallas, the 2015 ACT Expo will bring together conference attendees, exhibitors and experts to examine the latest alternative-fuel and clean vehicle technologies for all weight classes, from electric drive to hybrid, hydrogen, natural gas, propane autogas, renewables and efficiency technologies.
Emphasizing ACT Expo’s fuel-neutral stance, organizers said this alliance will focus on delivering an expanded electric-drive agenda component to show how the industry is meeting the growing demand for charging infrastructure while showcasing various hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel-cell vehicle technologies on the exhibit hall floor.
“Electric drive vehicles are helping to advance American energy security, environmental sustainability and independence from a monopoly fuel,” said Brian Wynne, president of EDTA. “Leveraging ACT Expo’s well-established reach into the fleet market will allow us to further grow awareness and promote the benefits of electrified transportation to a wider consumer audience, connecting with fleet operators at a true one-stop shop event.”
Last year, ACT Expo was co-located with the NGV Global 2014 Conference for the first time and will be again in 2015. Additionally, The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has signed on as a third-time presenting sponsor in 2015.
