Blue Bird Technical Training Coming to STN EXPO

blue-bird-2014-tech-trainingAn adequate, accessible supply of parts is vital for a maintenance program, but so is technician training. Blue Bird will demonstrate this and more during special training sessions held in conjunction with the 21st annual STN EXPO in Reno, Nev., July 26-30.

Though not part of the conference curriculum, the training will cover technical topics on all Blue Bird and Micro Bird products. It is open to all service technicians — from school districts and bus companies, to bus dealerships — to further their Blue Bird expertise as well as network with other student transportation experts.

The curriculum will include electrical, multiplex diagnostics, instrumentation, emissions and air disc brakes throughout three days, as well as coverage of ROUSH CleanTech’s liquid-propane, fuel-injection system. The technical training will feature guest trainings from suppliers such as ROUSH CleanTech.

These courses are so popular that the classes are usually filled within a few weeks after the training schedule is published.

Bill Landreth, president of Blue Bird Parts and Service, said Blue Bird’s technical training builds the capabilities of technicians so they can deliver premier customer service, resulting in more uptime for fleets and more satisfied customers.
