KODA Enterprises Group Acquires Bus Air Manufacturing

KODA Enterprises Group added school bus HVAC company Bus Air Manufacturing to its portfolio company ProAir Holdings.

The deal was finalized last week. Financial transaction details were not disclosed.

KODA Enterprises Group specializes in taking companies to the next level through strategic management and provision of resources. It entered the market of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for school buses when it acquired ProAir in 1997. KODA also acquired American Cooling Technologies (ACT) in 2012.

Bus Air’s incorporation heralds a partnership that “represents the most seasoned and knowledgeable professionals in the industry offering the widest range of engineering, product, and service in the industry,” according to a statement by KODA.

Tony Woods, president and CEO of Bus Air, will continue in his role and head up the day-to-day operations, according to KODA Enterprises President Bill Karol.

“While it has certainly been a ride of a lifetime building and growing Bus Air, the opportunity to be a part of the increased size and financial strength offered by KODA is an opportunity to further strengthen our company and offer our customers the absolute best solutions and value possible,” Woods said.

ACT President and CEO Dave Oberoff expressed his excitement “about what this opportunity brings for both our companies and our customers.”

The combined facilities of the three companies now include manufacturing plants in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Texas, as well as service locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas and California.
