Finlayson-Shueler also authored a white paper last year in fellowship with Easter Seals Project Action on the topic of travel education for students with disabilities and the role the school bus plays in preparing these youth for relying on public transit in their adult years. He also presented a webinar in February to introduce the topic to readers. The webinar can by accessed 24/7, free of charge, and the PowerPoint presentation is available online.

A panel on travel education and how school bus service should be utilized to this end is being formed for the 22nd Transporting Students with Disabilities and Preschoolers National Conference and Exhibition, which is scheduled for March 8-13 in Frisco, Texas.
