The National Association for Pupil Transportation is requesting nominations in six different categories for its 2015 awards.
The six categories are: the Driver Training Award (sponsored by IC Bus), which recognizes school districts with exceptional bus driver training programs; the Continuing Education Award (sponsored by Thomas Built Buses), which gives access to NAPT’s training and education and training programs both in person and online; the Specialized Transportation Award (sponsored by Sure-Lok), which commends individuals or districts that provide outstanding special needs transportation services; the Heroism Award (sponsored by Blue Bird), which goes to individuals who demonstrate an “uncommon degree of concern for the well-being of others,” particularly if this involved saving lives; the Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes an individual who has performed exceptional service for or on behalf of the NAPT; and the Hall of Fame induction, which is the association’s highest honor.
Those with questions are encouraged to contact NAPT awards committee chair Theresa Anderson at thanders@comcast.net or co-chair Jerry Milliken at milliken.jerry@gmail.com.
