North America/Illinois Central Incentivizes Employees to Be Safer, Have Perfect Attendance

North America Central/Illinois Central School Bus announced it began a new safety and attendance incentive program last month for all drivers, mechanics and monitors nationwide.

To qualify, employees at any of the company’s 54 of the locations must be free of preventable accidents and workmen’s compensation claims and have perfect attendance records for a given month. The names of eligible staff members will be included in a drawing at the end of each month, and the winner at each location wins a flat screen TV.

The program began at the start of February be continue indefinitely.

A company spokesperson said incentive is expected to not only boost attendance and safety awareness but also boost morale. The contractor transports more than 200,000 children daily in its 3,400 bus fleet.
