Starcraft Bus announced that a California dealership recently took delivery of the company’s 25,000th bus to roll off the production line.
The commercial vehicle line began in 1998, with Starcraft’s school bus division launching a decade later.
The milestone shuttle bus, an Allstar commercial model that was also the first vehicle that Starcraft manufactured 15 years ago, was ordered last October and was delivered earlier this month, destined for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), the transit authority and transportation-planning agency for the Las Vegas area. The bus was sold by Creative Bus Sales in Chino, Calif.
“We are excited to have reached this milestone for our company. Over the years we have grown from a small shuttle bus company to America’s largest and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support and commitment of our team members and dealers,” said David Wright, president of Starcraft Bus and Federal Coach. “We continue to look for new ways to improve the design, engineering and quality of every shuttle bus that we produce and we look forward to building our next 25,000 buses.”
A company spokesperson added that thousands of school buses manufactured over the past several years since that division began also factor into the total 25,000 figure.
Wright presented a plaque to Tony Matijevich, owner and president of Creative Bus Sales, to mark the occasion.
