Thomas Built Buses Sets April Factory Training Dates

Thomas Built school bus customers are being offered their first opportunity of 2012 to take hands-on maintenance training this spring.

The manufacturer announced that the first Thomas Built Institute program of the year is scheduled for April 24-27 in High Point, N.C. A second offering of the Thomas Built Institute will be held in Omaha, Neb., this fall. Exact dates were not available at this writing.

The weeklong curriculum results in 28 credit hours for technicians and includes overviews of the EPA emissions systems utilizing Cummins SCR diesel engines, advanced electrical, coolant, maintenance and cost savings; using websites, resources and diagrams; and a choice of either a Type C convetional multiplexing, service link and troublshooting tutorial or a Type D transit-style electrical and fan drive course. The Thomas Built Institute also features a factory tour.

Registration costs $275 per person and includes breakfast and lunch all four days.
